Compressed air energy is expensive

How much is your compressed air system costing to run? Many companies install a compressed air system with little or no idea how expensive and inefficient compressed air actually is, in many cases compressed air energy at point of use may be only 10% of the input energy!

Air Leaks, within any air system are extremely wasteful and very expensive, compressed air costs on average £0.50p/kW. Many new installations may suffer from poor installation or faulty air equipment which may account for as much as a 5% energy loss through leaks. Many older or poorly maintained systems have losses which may be as high as 25%. An inaudible 3mm hole @ 6.8bar will consume 0.94kW of energy, over 8,000 hours this equates to £800 per year.

Unfortunately many of the air leaks within a system are inaudible to the human ear and can only be detected by specialist Ultrasonic leak detecting equipment.

By using ultrasonic leak detection equipment even small compressed air leaks can be quickly identified and registered by a unique photo location.
