Whilst the 2010 CRC deadline is approaching, September 2009 will see the UK Environment Agency (administering body for the Carbon reduction scheme), will be sending qualification packs to all all UK billing addresses with settled half-hourly meters.
Organisations that must participate (those with an HHM settled on the HH market) will need to supply energy information on their total half hourly electricity usage for 2008, along with a list of their half hourly meters, assisted by their electricity supplier, to assess whether they qualify for the scheme.
In order to assist you with through this process Emtac have compiled a Carbon reduction commitment FAQ page, which aims to answer any open questions about the new legislation.
Failure to comply with the scheme will result in heavy penalty, so now is the time to act to ensure full CRC compliance.
