CRC – Energy Efficiency Scheme

On October 7th the Carbon Reduction Commitment was renamed the ‘CRC – Energy Efficiency Scheme’. The renaming of the scheme is to highlight the focus on improving energy efficiency in within organisations.
Commencing at the start of April 2010, the CRC Energy Efficiency Scheme is the UK’s mandatory climate change and energy saving scheme.
The scheme is the key strategy for improving CO2 emission and energy efficiency as part of the governments Climate Change Act of 2008.
The scheme aims to raise awareness in large organisations, to encourage changes in behaviour and infrastructure.
